Making hay while the sun shines. ☀️This is the process of raking all of the hay into windrows for the roller to come through. Putting up hay is a long, but not hard process with today’s machinery. It does rely quite a bit on reading the weather right and a little gambling. The first day the hay is cut, then left to dry in the fields. Conway, age 6, and I spent the day together on Thursday finishing baling the rest of our 2023 grass hay. Conway ran my baler a good portion of the hay, he only let me drive on outside rounds, when it got to dark to see windrow, and on the roads.
