Another horn from the magnificent Royal Conservatoire of Scotland collection. Again, a Scottish inspired choice of music (a bit from the slow movement of Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 3 "Scottish" - and there is a reason to play it on an early valve horn!). This two valve horn by R.J.Ward & Sons of Liverpool dates from around 1860s. The valves are a little sluggish but could easily be made faster with a bit of tlc and a load of valve oil.
