Today is the 50th anniversary of Operation Baby Lift. On 4-5 April 1975, Australia and the United States launched a daring mission that lifted over 3,000 orphaned and displaced children from Saigon, Vietnam. Over 200 children were evacuated to Australia, travelling in two RAAF C-130 Hercules from Saigon to Bangkok.
