In 1968, Rocky Bleier would be selected in the 16th round of the NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. But another draft in 1968 took him from the football fields of America to the battlefields of Vietnam. While on patrol in Hiep Duc, Bleier was severely wounded by rifle fire and an enemy grenade. He began a strict regimen of rehabilitation and rejoined the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rocky would go on to win four Super Bowls with the team throughout the 1970s.
