Soldiers from 10 Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment receives the Freedom of Rushmoor with a parade through the town of Aldershot. The Brigade of Gurkhas Band and their own Regimental Pipes and Drums led the soldiers through the town before forming up at the Princes Hall for inspection. After inspection by Major General Angus Fay and Mayor of Rushmoor Councillor Martin Tennant they were formally presented with the Freedom Scroll. The 1st Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles are deployed to Jordan on on Exercise Eager Lion 19. The Joint exercise with the US Airforce and the Jordanian 61st Mohamed Bin Zayed Quick Reaction Force has seen them practicing night operations. Over the years, this exercise has proven to be important to strengthening the Jordanian and British partnership.
