Right now, Phase I of the Lake Pine Dam Rehabilitation project is underway, which includes testing the soils around the dam and surveying the lake bottom. To give contractors safe access, the lake had to be lowered by about a foot (cue the dramatic “geyser” effect as water rushes downhill through the valve and out of the drain)
