On January 21, SPD Officers responded to multiple reports of an individual walking in the street firing a handgun. Officers quickly located the individual. Officers also located a 45-caliber pistol with a high-capacity magazine as well as multiple locations where the individual fired the handgun. A few months ago, Santa Clara PD reached out requesting for any and all EOD trained K9’s who would be able to respond to assist with a 2 week deployment period of events leading up to the Superbowl and Game Day.
