The parents of baby Emmanuel Haro have been arrested after his mother reported he had been kidnapped outside a California sporting goods store.

The parents of a Southern California baby, reported missing by his mother, were arrested and accused of murder, authorities said Friday. San Bernardino County sheriff's homicide detectives "arrested Jake and Rebecca Haro at their residence in Cabazon" and booked them on suspicion of murder, according to a department statement.

Authorities in Southern California arrested Jake and Rebecca Haro in a murder probe after their 7-month-old son Emmanuel vanished. Investigators say the reported Yucaipa kidnapping never happened and believe the infant is dead.
