The tech giant is fast approaching its annual iPhone announcement event, which should take place in early September, if previous years are any precedent. Apple hasn't officially announced the date and time for the event, or even acknowledged its existence, but we all know it's going to happen.

Most years, the flagship smartphones are introduced in September. MacRumors highlighted a story originally reported by iphone-ticker.de that the Apple iPhone 17 event could be Tuesday, September 9, according to information gleaned from German mobile phone providers.

We're likely only around a month away (give or take) from Apple's next iPhone launch event. This year's shindig could see the thinnest iPhone to date joining the iPhone 17 lineup. Also on tap could be new Apple Watch models — including the first Ultra model in two years — and (maybe) the long-awaited AirPods Pro 3.
