A Phoenix police officer working as a school safety officer at Maryvale High School was alerted of an assault in one of the classrooms, police said.

One student was fatally stabbed and another was injured after they got into a classroom fight at Maryvale High School in Phoenix on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
