The Broncos beefed up their offensive backfield Tuesday, agreeing with former Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins on a one-year deal.

On Tuesday afternoon, word emerged that running back J.K. Dobbins has signed with the Broncos. Not long thereafter, coach Sean Payton met with reporters. And Payton was mum about the situation. “I’m not going to answer to any reports,” Payton said. “I think we’re close. I’ll tell you tomorrow.”

JK Dobbins is coming off a career resurgence with the Chargers last season. Including a career game vs the Raiders. He just signed with the Broncos.

Dobbins agreed to a one-year, $5.25 million contract with the Broncos in free agency, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport. Dobbins, 26, spent four years with the Baltimore Ravens before signing a one-year deal with the Chargers ahead of the 2024 season.

Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins apparently turned down an offer from the team this offseason around free agency.
