Bloomington's Jake Irvin is set to pitch against the Twins on Sunday, marking his first start at Target Field.

The right-hander allowed two runs in seven innings as the Nationals beat the Twins, 7-2, to take the three-game series.

Irvin (8-5) picked up the win Sunday against Minnesota, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks across seven innings. He struck out two.

Irvin will look to bounce back from his worst outing of the season. On Friday in Anaheim, Calif., he allowed nine runs (eight earned) on nine hits -- including three home runs -- in 4 1/3 innings.

Irvin settled for the no-decision after throwing 3.2 innings, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out one, during Monday's 10-8 win over the Reds.
