The new govt of Maharashtra is yet to be sworn in more than a week after the BJP-led NDA, also known as Mahayuti, clinched a landslide victory in state polls.

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday made a phone call to Maharashtra's caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to enquire about his health, said sources. Eknath Shinde, who was reportedly not happy with BJP leadership's decision to remove him from the CM's chair,

RM Patre, Shinde's family doctor, told media, 'He is doing fine now. He has been experiencing fever, body pain, throat infection, and cold for the past two days. We have administered antibiotics. A team of three to four doctors is attending to him.

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, seen as the frontrunner for the CM's post in Maharashtra, dialled Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde on Sunday. Fadnavis enquired about Shinde's health as he is down with viral fever and cold in his native village in Satara.

Shinde also said that his government's work in Maharashtra in the last 2.5 years will be written in "golden letters in history"

Eknath Shinde addressed speculation about his son, Shrikant Shinde, being considered for Deputy Chief Minister, saying discussions with senior leaders, including Amit Shah, were ongoing and no final decision had been made.

Maharashtra caretaker CM Eknath Shinde assured he is recovering well in Satara after falling ill due to an exhaustive election schedule. He confirmed his support for the party's decision on the next chief minister.

Maharashtra caretake CM and Shiv Sena Chief Eknath Shinde on Sunday said that there are no issue between the Mahayuti allies and CM candidate will be decided on Monday.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, a team of doctors visited Maharashtra caretaker CM Eknath Shinde at his Dare village residence in Satara district of Maharashtra, to put him on saline, after he complained of high fever.
