Democratic Senators and former aides of Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) have raised questions over Fetterman’s health and well-being in recent weeks. A report from the Associated Press citing sources says Fetterman was repeating himself and pounding on a table.

Republican Sen. Dave McCormick is defending Sen. John Fetterman after the Pennsylvania Democrat’s well-being and ability to carry out the duties of a U.S. senator have come under widespread scrutiny.

"These disgraceful attacks against him are not the John that I know and respect," Pa.'s GOP Sen. Dave McCormick told Politico.

While Fetterman, who suffered a stroke during his 2022 Senate campaign, shut down questions about his mental fitness amid the relentless reports, it's not the first time a Democrat has been targeted after falling out of line with the party.

Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Monday called for Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman to resign and seek medical treatment after an article raising concerns about his mental health.
