An air quality alert was issued by the National Weather Service in Mount Holly at 3:47 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5. This warning applies to Delaware, Philadelphia, Western Chester, Eastern Chester, Western Montgomery, Eastern Montgomery, Upper Bucks and Lower Bucks counties.

When combined with the Philly area’s warm, sunny weather, the incoming smoke stands to increase levels of ozone, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection said.
