Donald Trump has ordered the Department of Homeland Security to add at least 20,000 officers to enforce his deportation policies. The directive was issued on Friday and forms part of the administration's plan to incentive undocumented immigrants to self-deport.

Immigrants in the United States illegally are being told to voluntarily self-deport "or remain and face the consequences," President Donald Trump warned in a new executive order.

Rümeysa Öztürk, a Turkish student, was arrested by masked immigration agents on the street in what her supporters have likened to an abduction.

The student, Rumeysa Ozturk, was being detained in Louisiana. A federal judge said her detention threatened to chill the speech of millions of noncitizens and ordered her release.
