CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police on Thursday released an image of a sport-utility vehicle they say struck and killed a man on the city's West Side the night before.

PUDUKOTTAI: A woman police constable in her ninth month of pregnancy died after being hit by a speeding sport utility vehicle (SUV) near Mandaiyur in Pudukottai district of Tamil Nadu on Thursday morning.

A man, 44, was crossing the street about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday when a driver hit him and continued driving south on South Central Park Avenue.

The accident occurred at the intersection of 13th Street and Central Park Avenue, at around 7:45 p.m., according to Chicago Police. A 44-year-year-old man was walking across the intersection when he was hit by a SUV traveling south on Central Park.
