The second leg of the 2025 Triple Crown is nearing - but there will be no horse vying for the Triple Crown title at this year's Preakness Stakes.Just weeks ago, it was trainer Bill Mott's horse Sovereignty that captured a Kentucky Derby victory.

Mott is a Preakness victory away from taking the career Triple Crown, but the 71-year-old trainer won't have a chance to win it with Sovereignty, opting instead to hold the colt out until the Belmont Stakes.
