Celebrity, Princess making local debuts soon, joining longtime Port Canaveral cruise lines Carnival, Disney, MSC, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean

Port Canaveral expanded its cruise offerings on Wednesday with the arrival of Princess Cruises’ Caribbean Princess, which will now call the Space Coast home.

Princess Cruises, famously known as “The Love Boat,” celebrated the highly anticipated arrival of Caribbean Princess in Port Canaveral on Nov. 27.

The cruise line that touts its connection to “The Love Boat” made its debut from Port Canaveral on Wednesday with the arrival of its first ship to call the Orlando-area port home. Princess Cruises’ Caribbean Princess made its way to the port to begin a winter of mostly six- and eight-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.

Port Canaveral continues to expand its fleet of homeported cruise ships with today’s arrival of Princess Cruises Caribbean Princess, the first “Love Boat” to be homeported at the Port, kicking off its slate of 4- to 14- day itineraries to the Caribbean and Central America.
