If we get the chance to go in the playoff, we’re gonna make the most of it. We don’t care if we’re a top-eight seed or we’re the 12th seed. In the playoffs, it’s anybody’s chance. We just hope we can get a shot.

Wide receiver Xavier Restrepo is also a record-setter. He had 148 receiving yards in the loss, pushing his season total to 1,127 receiving yards. That is the fourth-most by a Miami receiver in a single season. Restrepo is the only Hurricane wide receiver with two 1,000-yard seasons.

Cam Ward and the Miami Hurricanes lost 42-38 to Kyle McCord and Syracuse. UM will not play in the ACC championship and could miss the CFP.
