The Dallas Mavericks played the first night of a back-to-back against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night for the final game of NBA Cup action for the Mavs. The Lakers had already clinched the group, and the Mavs had already been eliminated, but any matchup between these two teams will be must-see TV.
On Tuesday night, the Lakers renewed their rivalry with the Clippers with a dominant 135-118 victory over James Harden and co., deepening the latter's slide to the bottom of the standings. Doncic dropped 43 points, 13 assists, and 9 rebounds on 14-28 from the field, and LA moved to 13-4 on the season.
Luka Doncic opened up about what it meant to him to play his old team, the Dallas Mavericks. Doncic admitted it was emotional.
According to ESPN 's NBA insider Shams Charania, the Mavericks are expected to explore trades for multiple key veterans on the team. "The Mavericks are open to exploring the trade markets for Anthony Davis, center Daniel Gafford, and guards Klay Thompson and D'Angelo Russell, sources said," Charania started.
The Los Angeles Lakers don't want physical mishaps as they host the San Antonio Spurs in the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup.
