The two-time champion was frustrated as he was brought down in the finish area at the top of the legendary climb

Jonas Vingegaard crashed into a photographer after the finish line on stage 16 of the Tour de France on Mont Ventoux. The 28-year-old finished sixth on Tuesday's stage, two seconds behind Tadej Pogačar, when he hit a photographer in the finish line area.

Vingegaard had a tough first week time trial and also a big setback on the Hautacam stage, where he effectively won the Tour in 2023, but he then showed signs of improvement on stage 13's uphill time trial and again in the final Pyrenean stage at Superbagnères.
