Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has appointed Ali Larijani as the new secretary for the Supreme National Security Council.

Ali Larijani, the conservative adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been appointed secretary general of the country's powerful Security Council, Tehran announced on Tuesday.
