Barcelona target Nico Williams turned down an opportunity to sign for rivals Real Madrid earlier this summer, as per reports.

As reported by Sport, Galatasaray has already submitted a formal proposal to both the player's environment and the Barcelona club. The offer would include an annual salary of 5 million euros net for Ter Stegen, slightly less than what he currently earns at Barça but could be attractive in a project where he is considered a key player.

If Williams did join Barcelona it would clearly rule out the pursuit of Diaz, who is claimed to be valued at around €80 million (£68.2m). The onus may be on Diaz himself to push for a move if he so desires, with the player currently enjoying downtime in his native Colombia following his marriage to long-term partner Gera Ponce.
