Smoke from Canadian wildfires is causing air quality concerns for millions of Americans in the Midwest and Northeast.  Air quality alerts were in effect Tuesday in several states, including Michigan and New York.

Air quality advisories continue across Mid-Michigan, with Canadian wildfire smoke still impacting air quality statewide. However, our computer models are hinting at the potential for some improvement with the lingering smoke as we move into Wednesday.

A statewide air quality advisory remains in place for Aug. 5. Officials say wildfire smoke may dissipate by mid-week. Check out the air quality map.
