With the Patriots' need for receivers, undrafted rookie Efton Chism III will make the team's final roster in August.

Reported guaranteed contract numbers is proof the New England Patriots likely outbid other NFL teams for Lan Larison and Jack Conley.

The New England Patriots announced they have signed DT Isaiah Iton, G Mehki Butler and DT Wilfried Pene to the 90-man roster.  In a corresponding move, the Patriots cut OT Cole Birdow.

ESPN's Mike Reiss reported Sunday that the Eastern Washington product made six predraft visits with teams. While he ultimately wasn't drafted, Reiss noted Broncos head coach Sean Payton "made a strong pitch to woo" him as an undrafted free agent.

Chism's three-year contract includes $234,000 in guaranteed base salary, along with a $25,000 signing bonus, according to sources who have seen the deal. It is the richest deal among the Patriots' 16-member undrafted class and includes more in guarantees than the team's seventh-round picks.
