Apple's Screen Time parental controls aren't working for a ton of people but the company says it's aware of the problem and is working on it.

In response to the report, Apple said it had discovered that some parental control apps were using MDM, putting the privacy and security of children at risk.

The post said parental-control apps could now use two technologies that Apple had recently cited as grounds for their removal from iPhones.

Apple says that it notified developers of apps affected by its crackdown on this disallowed usage of MDM, giving them 30 days to modify their apps before pulling them from the ‌App Store‌.

The addition of the new parental controls is part of Apple’s larger focus on digital wellness, which includes the arrival of new time management features for adults, as well, arriving in iOS 12.
