Charli xcx, meanwhile, has the opportunity to do something very funny this year, given that her song “Spring Breakers” from 2024’s Brat largely lists hypothetical acts of violence she fantasizes about enacting on a crowd at the Staples Center at an unnamed February event.
Charli XCX comes into the night as one of the top nominees for her sixth album, and now, she’s also set to perform. In fact, the Academy booked all three members of pop’s new “holy trinity,” with Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan also taking the stage.
