After the upload is complete, navigate to ‘Recent’ on the left sidebar to find your uploaded Word document. Right-click on the file, choose ‘Open with’, and then select ‘Google Docs’.

To convert Word documents to Google Docs, go to Google Drive and log in. Select New > File upload. Select the Word document to upload it to your Google account.

Basically, if you have Word documents with a lot of tracked changes, you can simply upload them to Google Docs, and the tracked changes will show up as Suggested Edits.
