Starting Monday, the Alter L/A Emergency Warming Center in Lewiston will operate around the clock. The emergency shelter, run by the team behind Kaydenz Kitchen, will offer expanded hours at its 70 Horton Street location. The new shelter opened at the beginning of November, offering about 100 spaces from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

LEWISTON, Maine — Kaydenz Kitchen Food Pantry in Lewiston has found a new location following a recent fire that left its building condemned and all of its supplies destroyed. The non-profit will be moving to the YWCA Central Maine facility at 130 East Ave. in Lewiston, according to a social media post Wednesday.
