Angel City FC defender Savy King is speaking out and raising awareness about CPR, two months after she suddenly collapsed on the field during a May 9 match between Angel City and the Utah Royals.

King is expected to play again, though no return date has been set. "I was just so happy that I was going be able to recover and be normal and almost be like a Savy 2.0 now," King said.

King said she had no history of heart issues prior to the incident. Dr. Richard Kim, one of King's doctors, credited Angel City's medical staff for their quick actions to prevent a much worse outcome.
