Two people were killed on Thanksgiving in a multi-car crash near the intersection of Windsor Spring and Willis Foreman roads in Augusta. One driver was pronounced dead at the scene and another driver was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to a news release from the Richmond County Coroner's Office.

Statewide car crashes over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend increased by nearly 10% compared to last year, Pennsylvania State Police said. Of the 1,075 crashes this year, there were seven deaths.

According to the department, there were two fatalities over the weekend, both of which happened Sunday night on I-40.
