Rolls-Royce says the color evokes a nautical connotation, subtle in the shade but pops with crystal flakes in the sun. The wheels are unique to the Boat Tail, finished in bright blue.

The lavish Rolls-Royce Boat Tail made one helluva splash when it was unveiled earlier this year, but very few have seen it in the flesh. Until now, that is.

"Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is a pure expression of owners' interests, influences and passions, with every detail minutely considered," said Torsten Muller-Otvos, Rolls-Royce CEO.

It comes 12 months after the first Boat Tail from Goodwood-era Rolls-Royce, and shares that car’s curves but differs in many details. A third and final Boat Tail will be along in due course.

Last year, Rolls-Royce introduced the stunning Boat Tail custom-built convertible. Even with a rumored cost of around $30 million, the company had three buyers.

While Rolls-Royce did not disclose the price of such a vehicle, the first of the Boat Tail commissions had a price tag of approximately $25 million.
