LONDON (AP) — Arsenal’s transfer spree continued with the signing of England forward Noni Madueke from Chelsea on Friday. He is Arsenal’s fourth signing of the offseason after midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgard and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The 23-year-old is expected to provide cover for Saka next season and can also be utilised on the opposite flank as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attack with Viktor Gyokeres also expected to join. Eyebrows were raised by the signing of Madueke though, especially given his inconsistent form for Chelsea.
