NBC has picked up a version of the game that will feature civilian players, rather than the reality TV veterans and other celebrities who have populated Peacock’s iteration of The Traitors. Alan Cumming, who hosts the Peacock show, will also lead the NBC version.

After a run of successful star-studded seasons on Peacock, a new civilian version of the hit show means it could be your turn to be a Traitor or a Faithful.

LOS ANGELES — The U.S. version of “ The Traitors ” has brought a group of public figures to a castle in the Scottish Highlands for a game of deceit, with hundreds of thousands of dollars up for grabs. Now, the Emmy award-winning competition will open its doors to everyday people.

The Traitors' all-civilian edition, a pivot from their previous reality star-stocked seasons, is in the works.
