The Gophers also improved to an impressive 3-1 in their past four games against Wisconsin and secured seven wins for the third time in four years under coach P.

Max Brosmer passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another to help Minnesota beat Wisconsin. Friday's game was the 134th meeting between the teams. The rivalry is the oldest rivalry in the nation among Football Bowl Division schools.

The Minnesota team that could leave UW below .500 this year is much better than the 2001 squad, though they come into the matchup hoping to shake off back-to-back losses to Rutgers, 25-19, on Nov. 9, and to No. 4 Penn State, 26-25, Saturday. The Gophers are 6-6 overall and 4-4 in the Big Ten.
