Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani miraculously records a hit despite destroying his bat on the play.

In the Dodgers’ 5-2 defeat to the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park, Shohei Ohtani left the mound alongside a trainer in the fourth inning with what the team later said was only cramping — a worrying scene in the moment, quickly alleviated by a seemingly benign injury announcement.

Accompanied by trainers, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts commenced a mound visit for Ohtani in the bottom of the fourth inning, ultimately pulling Ohtani from the game after three-plus innings. It's unclear if Ohtani was injured, and if so, to what extent.
