Two computer science students on leave from the University of Washington are building what they call the “world’s most intelligent web browser,” using agentic AI to complete tasks like a personal assistant.

The browser is slated to launch in the coming weeks and aims to use artificial intelligence to fundamentally change how consumers browse the web.

Perplexity, the AI startup responsible for the eponymous chatbot and LLM-powered search engine, has made a formal bid to purchase Google's Chrome browser. The proposed $34.5 billion deal would eclipse Perplexity's current valuation.
