Christian Yelich homered and Trevor Megill escaped a jam in the ninth inning, sending the Milwaukee Brewers to a 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday in the finale of a four-game series.

"The guys are playing hard," Oli Marmol said. "Tomorrow's off day is a timely one; we'll get to regroup and then get back at it."

The Cardinals fell into a tie with Cincinnati for third place in the NL Central, seven games behind the division-leading Cubs.
