SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO — One person died in a fire at an apartment complex early Monday morning, authorities said. Firefighters responded around 4 a.m. to reports of a fire alarm and smoke at the complex on the 500 block of Baden Avenue, according to a news release from the South San Francisco Police Department.
Students and staff at Curtis Strange Elementary School in Kenosha returned from break Monday with heavy hearts as they mourned the loss of the Kannin siblings, who died in a fire on Thanksgiving.
