There will be batches of snow moving across Lower Michigan this weekend. When it is all said-and-done there will be another meaningful amount of snow to remove.

There will be two rounds of snow this weekend in southeast Wisconsin bringing 5 to 9 inches of new snow to the region by Saturday night.

Precipitation types will vary this weekend, likely starting with snow Saturday morning, shifting to rain Saturday afternoon and night, then switching back to snow as the cold air moves in on Sunday afternoon.

The final in our series of East Coast storms is headed our way this weekend. And it could be the one with the biggest impact. We’re tracking a mix of snow, ice, and rain that’ll make for a wintry Saturday and sloppy Sunday.

Elsewhere in southern Michigan, a mix of snow and freezing drizzle could bring up to 2 inches of accumulation by 1 p.m. Saturday to Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph, Branch and Hillsdale counties. Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson counties could all get up to 4 inches by 7 p.m.

Our weather starts off quiet this weekend, with dry weather early on Saturday, but that will quickly be changing. Snow develops during the morning and will continue off and on into the afternoon and evening.

Northern New Jersey could get 2 to 4 inches of snow before a switch to a wintry mix. Heavy rain is expected Sunday.
