Walmart has confirmed its store hours for December 31 and January 1, helping shoppers plan last-minute purchases and New Year essentials with ease.

Markets will operate on a normal schedule for New Year's Eve 2025, except for the U.S. bond market which closes early. Most major international stock exchanges will also be closed on New Year's Day, with many having shortened hours on New Year's Eve.

Unlike many retailers, Costco follows a consistent holiday policy across its warehouse locations, which can make certain holidays tricky for last-minute shopping. New Year's Day, in particular, is one of those dates that prompts shoppers to double-check store availability before heading out.
