49ers vs. Seahawks highlights: 49ers fall flat in huge game
The San Francisco 49ers just didn’t have the horses to hang with the Seattle Seahawks in their Week 18 matchup.
Seahawks to punt. 49ers will begin their next drive at their own 9-yard line. Seahawks lead the 49ers 10-3, and San Francisco will get the ball to begin the third quarter. Eddy Pineiro's 48-yard field goal is good, and the 49ers are on the board. Seahawks still lead 10-3 with 1:06 left in the first half.
The Seahawks have 185 total yards through two quarters and change. Running back Kenneth Walker III has churned out 101 of those on just two plays: the first on a throwback screen and the next on a breakaway touchdown run that just gave Seattle the lead back.
Rashid Shaheed had a 58-yard punt return touchdown with 8:03 to go in regulation and the Seahawks got the 2-point conversion to cut the Rams’ lead to 30-22. That gave Seattle some life.
The Los Angeles Rams lost a heartbreaker to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, blowing a 16-point fourth-quarter lead and losing in overtime, 38-37. It was as painful a loss as they've suffered this season, dropping to 11-4 and relinquishing their lead in the NFC West, as well as giving up control of the No. 1 seed.
