The Hammond Police Department is revealing a new member of their force. The department unveiled the first member of its new robot program, IRIS, which stands for Intelligence Recon Integrated Systems.

Retired Baltimore County Police SWAT leader Robert Steinberg served on the team since 2013, deploying more than 2,000 times, primarily on high-risk search warrants, following years on patrol.
