Manchester City will be without Jack Grealish and Manuel Akanji for their Premier League clash against Newcastle. Both players picked up knocks during City’s dramatic 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League knockout play-off earlier this week.

Man City were heavily beaten 5-1 by Arsenal in their last top-flight fixture a fortnight ago, leaving them in fifth place and a staggering 18 points behind leaders Liverpool. They are also two points behind Chelsea in fourth, as well as level on points with their next opponents Newcastle in sixth, who also have the same goal difference.
