One of the most dangerous liquids in Minecraft is lava. When you first enter a new world, you will spawn in the Overworld realm, filled with different biomes, structures, and terrain generations.

I have even tackled how you might walk on lava (check it out – I have changed my tune somewhat). The biggest thing most people don't realize is just how viscous lava is.

Water is much less viscous than lava, so it would be much easier to penetrate the surface and sink in by some depth, so if you fell the same way into lava, you wouldn’t penetrate nearly as deep.
