After F-35 fighter jets were seen and heard flying over Salt Lake City on Tuesday evening, officials have said that the exercise was a flyover for a local sports game.

Fighter jets will be on patrol over Vancouver and Toronto over the next several weeks, protecting World Cup match venues and fan festivals.
