For its standard offering, Apple seems to have four changes planned, the most significant of which is the switch to a 120Hz display. Since the iPhone 13 Pro launched in 2021, the smoother refresh rate has been a Pro-only perk, offering both more fluid scrolling and up to 120fps in supported apps.

Another Apple product that may or may not appear is the Apple AirPods Pro 3. Contradictory rumours circulate online about Apple's top-tier earbuds, with some suggesting they will be released next week, while others claim they won't be seen until spring 2026.

Apple is expected to upgrade three of its product lines at its September 9 'Awe Dropping' keynote, but others will have to wait.
