A crew member who was recovered after a U.S. military Osprey aircraft crashed off southern Japan has been pronounced dead, coast guard officials said.

At least one person has died after a US military aircraft crashed into the ocean near Japan. The incident occurred during a routine training mission off the shores of Yakushima Island according to the US military.
