One of the men who was a key figure in that renaissance, Bob Harlan, passed away on Thursday.

Former Packers president Bob Harlan, who was responsible for hiring two different general managers who won Super Bowls, died Thursday after a brief illness, the organization announced.

“Bob restored the Packers’ tradition of excellence, winning a Super Bowl and renovating Lambeau Field into the iconic venue it is today,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement.
